Happy Roaring Tuesday!

HAPPY THURSDAY IN MAY! 

We had a great week in our classroom and today we finished up with another roaring good time in our classroom.  Being this the last month of school we will be busy cleaning up some lose ends and having lots and lots of fun in our classroom.  We will spend the month learning about the number 10, the shape of a diamond, reviewing the colors of the rainbow.  Our theme will lead us into a stomping and roaring good time learning about dinosaurs.  Our Jesus time we will be spending learning about Jesus rising to heaven, Pentecost and reviewing the BIBLE stories we have learned this year.  Enjoy reading and viewing the pictures from another fabulous Thursday in our classroom

Working on Fine Motor Skills

Today we practiced putting dried pasta noodles into spice containers.  It was tricky to do but we all did a great job trying to get the pasta into the holes of the containers.  

PUZZLES 

We had some new puzzles out for us to work on this week.  We also had an Oreo matching puzzle game that we really enjoyed working on, we also had some little people that we had to connect together to make a family or group of friends.  These were all great ways to work on our fine motor skills, problem solving skills and sorting skills. 

10 FLOWERS IN A MEADOW 

A few friends finished up their number counting book by stamping 10 red flower in a meadow.  Then using a green crayon to make the stems and leaves on our flowers.  These Number Counting books will becoming home on your child's last day of school.

WORKING ON OUR NAMES

We practiced tracing the letters to our names today using markers.  These will be included in our name portfolio's that we have been working on for the past month and half.  We have done a wide variety of activities to help your child become exposed to their name and the letters in their names.  The expectation is to expose them to the letters.  

PAINTING A DINOSAUR

Today we picked our favorite color to paint a dinosaur to help us with our study of dinosaurs.  We have done a lot of painting this year and it has been really wonderful to watch the progress all the students have made with their painting skills.  Be sure and check the hallway for your child's dinosaur pictures. 

Jesus Time 

We spent time talking about the Easter Story leading up to Jesus Going to Heaven at 40 days of rising from the tomb. We then picked a Jesus song to see , Drew chose Zaccheaus today and then we prayed.  

Music and Movement

Today we reviewed The Rainbow Song, did Pop Se KO, and learned a new Dinosaur Stomp Song that we loved and then we worked on being loud stomping dinosaurs as we played follow the leader to the song "WALK LIKE A DINOSAUR"

OUTSIDE PLAY 

What a gorgeous day we had today we enjoyed running and playing with our friends this mid morning and soaking in the gorgeous sunshine God has graced us with.  

Circle Time 

We came back in and read the book All Aboard the Dino Train and then did the flannel board story 5 Little Dinosaurs.  

We had more fun playing with the little family pieces that we have in our classroom.  We talked about who we have in our family and counted the number of people in our family.  

Reading Stories with our friends

We have lots of new different books in our classroom and they are always available for us to look and read.  

COUNTING DINOSAURS 

We had fun counting and coloring dinosaurs.  We worked on counting and then identifying the colors we used. 

We read this final book today about all different dinosaurs from A-Z
