Free Choice Play
We had fun playing with the blue play dough today. Today was the last day for blue play dough we will have a new color of play dough next week and new cut outs to play with as well! It has been so much fun to see how much my friends enjoy playing with play dough what a great sensory skill to work on.
Art Easel
We had fun creating, drawing and coloring on the dry erase board today. Working on building our arm strength as well as working on our pre-writing skills as we are practicing holding a writing tool.
Puzzle Fun
We have lots of fun doing lots of different types of puzzles and working on our problem solving skills.
Imaginative Play
We had fun playing Doctor and nurse today for our patient Mickey Mouse he must of been having the Back to school and routine blues!
Morning Meeting
Happy Thursday!
Today during calendar time we talked about how when we come back to school next week it will be a new month. Today our characters on the board where the seven dwarfs.
We also talked about how Mr. Weather Frog is still wearing the same clothes but soon we will feel the weather changing and we will have to change what Mr. Weather Frog wears.
Today was our last day of our study of the number one, the shape of a square and the color blue.
We are touching our toes one time!
Our color board for the month of August was blue. We had lots of the same objects on our board we talked about how they were the same and how they were different.
Our books through out the month of August have been about going to school. So today we ended that theme of books with a book about a bear starting school and not sure he liked what his new teacher did compared to his old teacher but in the end he realized that is OK to do things differently and you can always have good time at school.
Transition & Snack Time
Today when we lined up we had to tell Mrs. Horn what we had on that was blue. It was so neat to see all my friends in something blue and to be able to tell me what it was. This is a great way for us to work on our vocabulary and color identifaction

Snack Time
We had some pretty Yummy snacks today. As a gentle reminder please send in foods that are peanut free and are something your child can eat without assistance.
Jesus Time

Getting ready to head outside we had to tell Mrs. Horn how old we were today before we could line up.

Sorry all my books are upside down today not sure what is going on. We read this book today about what we like to do with our friends. After reading this book we talked about what we like to do with our friends.

Today we painted a picture of Grover to hang in our hallway to show how much we have leared abou the color blue. Be sure and check the hallway out to find your child's Grover!

Bingo Daubers
Some of my friends did not get to the bingo dauber activity we did earlier this week so we finished up this activity today.
Sticker Fun with the Number One
Today we had the number one and we used "boy" and "girl" stickers to put on the outline of the number one. As we worked on this activity I would remind my friends that this was the number one.
Music and Movement
We had a shortened Music and Movement today as we played outside for a really really long time. That's ok though we will make up for our Music and Movement time when we are stuck inside during the long winter months. We had fun doing the Silly Dance Contest and the Washing Machine
Our last book of the day was about two little puppies who loved to play together.
Lunch Time
We had a really great week in our class and we have gotten into our groove. Next week we will be learning about the color red the shape of an Octagon, the number 2 and start working on the letters of the Alphabet. We will also be talking about day 1 and 2 of how God created the world and starting our theme of Apples and fall. Our centers will be increased and new concepts and activities will be introduced more through out the month of September.
