GOODBYE FRIENDS

GOOD-BYE TO MORE FRIENDS
Today was the last day for many of friends and truly was a bittersweet day for myself and Mrs. Wegener.  We have truly enjoyed having your children in our classroom this year and they have filled our hearts with so much love it is so sad to know that our time together has come to a close.  Today we just had fun and enjoyed our time together.  We sang songs, listened to stories, blew bubbles, played outside and had a special treat.  It has been amazing to watch each of my little friends grow physically emotionally, and spiritually this year.  Today as we closed out our day it was with true amazement to see where we started our year and how we ended our year AMAZING!

REMINDERS
TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY FOR THOSE WHO ATTEND ON WEDNESDAY.

SCHOOL WILL RESUME ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 17 at 8:00am for the 2016-2017 school year.

Enjoy reading and viewing the pictures from our fun filled day!

We started our morning out with some coloring, cutting, gluing and using stickers.  We made a beautiful mural for the end of the school year.  It was a great way for us to work on our cutting skills, pre-writing skills, using  our fine motor skills as we peeled stickers off the sheet and put them on the paper.  We were able to explore and create whatever we wanted no strings attached!

We enjoyed playing with our friends and the toys in the classroom.  We have had a year of lots of different toys to play with and explore in our classroom.  Our imaginations have started to explode and it was awesome to see that happen this year.

We had fun looking at lots of different books this year as our book selection changed every couple of weeks.  We learned how to hold a books, turn the pages and how to treat a book.  The public library is an awesome and Free place to take your child this summer I encourage to visit it often.

We made lots of new friends this year.  The year started out with more of us playing on our own but as the year progressed we started to form friendships and enjoyed having a buddy or friend to play with in the classroom.  I really enjoyed watching friendships blossom and my friends become more comfortable in the classroom each week.

We did a lot of exploring our fine motor skills this year from gluing, cutting with scissors holding a writing instrument and working with stickers.  Lots of creativity took place this year and lots of growth happened as we worked on these skills weekly.

 PORTFOLIOS!
Each child in my class this year on their last day will come home with a years worth of work that they have worked so hard on.  Each child will also becoming home with their number books, alphabet books and Name Books.  Please be sure and take time to look them over.  It has been really neat to put these together to see how much they have done this year and how far they have come.   I hope you enjoy a small snippet into what we did all year long.

MORNING MEETING
One last Morning meeting with our Tuesday Friends.  God truly blessed us this year with an awesome group of kiddos on Tuesdays it was a joy to come to school each day and know that we would be spending time with these precious little ones.  Thank you again for allowing us to be a part of your families educational experience.

Calendar

Mr. Weather Frog
He was ready to get his summer vacation on.  Blessings to you all and prayers for safe travels to those going somewhere this summer.

We Reviewed the Number 10
By counting 10 friends at school today and counting 10 fingers and toes

We Reviewed our Colors
This year we learned a rainbow song to help us learn the different colors.  It was a colorful year in our classroom and we all worked together to make our classroom beautiful and colorful

READING TO OUR FRIENDS
Today we read Froggy Goes to Hawaii to help us get ready for our summer break and vacation.

Transition
Today I called each friend's name and they stood on a Mickey Mouse, I did all the friends who will be going to preschool next year.  Blessings to you my friends we will miss you and Mrs. Wegener and I will be down to the early childhood wing to steal a few snuggles next year!

Next, I called our friends who will be joining us in ELP next year again.  Have a wonderful summer and can not wait to see you back in August for another wonderful year in ELP!

They have done a great job all year learning how to stand in a line and wait their turn.

After Snack we headed outside for some fun in the sun!

First stop the shapes outside to hear the instructions and for one more photo op for the whole class:)

THEN, we headed to the field for some fun activities.  It was so neat to see so many different classes and grade levels on the field today this is truly a unique experience at our school and we had a great time.   We played with a parachute, blew bubbles, kicked around some balls and just had a great time playing outdoors.

We had so much fun blowing bubbles and chasing them around us and seeing how big we could make our bubbles.

We had a  lot of fun kicking and throwing the balls around too.

Picking flowers

And then we had a special treat POPSICLES!
They were yummy and cool for our last day of school.

We then headed back to the playground, The below picture sums up my entire year with this group…..
As we walked from the field back to our playground the instructions were to follow Mrs. Horn and they did and as we were waiting for a few more friends I look down on the playground and they by passed all the other friends playing on the playground and went and stood on the black line to wait for my instructions.  I could not have been prouder or happier.  LOOK AT THESE BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN!

We came inside and washed our hands and faces and sat in a circle on the carpet and sang some songs and listened to the book DANNY and THE DINOSAUR.  We sang some of our songs from the beginning of the year….The Wheels on the Bus, 5 Little Ducks, The Bumblebee Song.  After we were done singing and reading we had a little dance party.

ONE FINAL PROJECT
Each year I make a canvas picture with my friends to hang in my classroom the following year…This year we made a cross and I can not wait to see what it looks like when it is completed tomorrow.  It is a great way for me to remember all of my little friends year after year.

FINAL DANCE PARTY
This group loved to dance this year so….what better way to finish out before lunch with a Dance PARTY!

LUNCHTIME
FINAL LINE OF THE YEAR TO GET READY FOR LUNCH!

DANCE PARTY!
We had time to do one final song before we went home today.  We did FIVE DAYS OLD which has been a favorite in our class all year long!!
