MORNING MEETING
HAPPY TUESDAY!
Painting a Cross
Today we painted with q-tips to decorate a cross. We have spent the month of April learning about the shape of a Rectangle and how a cross can be made out of two rectangles. Using the q-tips gave us a way to work on our fine motor skills and a different way for us to work with paint.
BUTTERFLY BOOKS
We spent this past month learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. We had fun learning a cute little song to remember the life cycle of a buttefly to the tune of Mary Had a Little Lamb. Today we made a book to go along with the song we have been learning. Ask your child if they can "read" (or sing) about the life cycle of a butterfly.

Stamping Spring Words
Today we had 9 different Spring stamps that we stamped on our paper to help us work on reviewing new words we have learned over the month of April.
Imaginative Play
We removed the kitchen from our classroom and we replaced it with a small house and grill. We had some serious grilling going on in our classroom!
Caterpillar Patterns
Today we used purple and yellow bingo daubers to make a caterpillars body making a pattern. The body was made up of nine circles and numbered 1-9 we had to match the color to the correct bingo dauber. We were working on our counting skills, matching skills, color recognition and patterning
Our Sensory Table currently has some fake flowers in it that we are exploring and playing with.
We found some palm branches and some of us started waving them and going around the classroom saying HOSANNA HOSANNA HOSANNA in the HIGHEST!
NUMBER 9
Today we were given the number 9 with nine rectangles of with different colors. Mrs. Wegner would ask the children to find a color and then they placed a sticker on that color. We were able to work on following directions, identification of colors and counting to the number nine.

MAKING A FLOWER
Today we made a flower out of a paper plate and craft stick.
We used a green bingo dauber to make our craft stick green, we then cut small slits in our paper plate to make the petals to work on our scissor skills, we then decorated our flower using purple and yellow paint. We made some great looking flowers that are going to be displayed in our classroom.
We had an awesome day in our classroom, we did go outside and had a wonderful time enjoying the weather before the severe weather rolled in. We read The VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR doing a flannel board activity with it and reviewed our Easter Story.
