The first week of February is almost over and it
seems like time is just flying by! We
are busy in the classroom learning about the number 7, the shape of a heart,
the color pink. Our pattern for the
month is all about cupcakes and hearts and we will focus our time on learning
about the holiday Valentine’s Day. This
week we worked on learning the letter “T” and our Bible story was focused on
Jesus being baptized by John The Baptist.
We had some visitors in our classroom today, Mrs. Haun, Mr. Debrick and
Mrs. Kaindy (the new admissions director) they all came through with tours of
our classroom and school. It is always
an interesting day when we have visitors and all my friends did a great job
with the visitors in our room. We
continue to work on sharing, caring and loving our friends as well as keeping
our hands to ourselves and cleaning up the classroom.

Today we had the opportunity to build with linking pieces to make different designs. This allows us to work on our problem solving skills, as to figure out how to link the pieces together, we are also working on our counting skills and color identification skills. We had some pretty tall towers being built for today. Using our fine motor skills to put them together also came into play when working with the pieces.
Sensory Table Fun
We have been enjoying the rice in the table the past few weeks. We are able to work on our pouring and scooping skills as we play and learn.
Is there a Dr. in the house?
We have a doctor kit currently in our classroom to play with and we have enjoyed playing with it and learning what the different pieces in the doctor kit are.
