We had another great day in our classroom today as we geared up for the Fall season. We did not do very many centers today, due to the gorgeous weather we are having we took full advantage of it and played outside for a really long time. I hope all your little ones slept well this afternoon at rest time.
Free Choice: Today we had the opportunity to play with the red play dough that was home made. We explored the classroom as we to a series of Disney songs set to classical music it made for a very calming hour and 2o minutes in our class. My friends had fun playing with the toys, exploring in the sensory table, looking and listening to books, doing a variety of puzzles, walking the dog, and building train tracks.
Morning Meeting: We spent doing calendar, Mr. Weather Frog, continuing our study of the number 2, the shape of an Octagon and the color Red. We had two friends on that had on the same red shirt so we counted those two friends today. This week our letter journey has sent us to the letter D. We continued to work on our red and green pattern of apples and we had fun singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and our ABC's. We read a book about a gerbil/hamster named Fluffy who was excited to go apple picking with a preschool class. We concluded with our snack prayer and putting our apple with our name on it on the basket.
Jesus Time: Today we learned what God created on the fourth and fifth day he created the sun, moon and stars and the birds and fishes. When he was done he said that this was GOOD! We began our Jesus Time with singing our Read the the Bible Song, we then read our Bible Story and then worked on continuing to learn the words to THE BIBLE and JESUS LOVES ME. We concluded our Jesus time with the following echo prayer: Dear God, Thank you for the sun, moon and stars and for the fish in the waters and the birds in the sky. In your name we pray, Amen. We then played a Creation Matching Game where we had to match the correct day wit each day that God created.
Outside: It is amazing the beautiful weather we are having and I feel that outdoor play and a good dose of Vitamin D does a body good big or little so we spent a rather long time outside. We even got the playground to ourselves for a while which was great! We were busy digging, running, jumping, climbing, playing with friends, riding bikes and just enjoying the great outdoors.
Circle Time: We read a book about some animal friends that were sick and how they got better. After we were done we had fun doing a few centers.
Center time we focused on doing the next few pages in our creation book that will becoming home in a few weeks. A few of my friends worked on the letter D that will be going in our alphabet books that will becoming home at the end of the school year. We used water color paints to paint a picture of a fall tree with different pretty colored leaves that will be added to a wall in our room. Be sure and check them out. We had fun working with the scissors again today as we practiced cutting out apples on a line and matching them up and gluing them on a piece of paper.
Music and Movement: We did Shake your Body Down, Head Shoulders Knees and Toes, Jumping and Counting and the Wheels on the Bus. We finished out our day reading about Little Red Hen to help tie in our study of the color red. We prayed for lunch and then took our apples off our board.
Enjoy viewing the pictures from our Day!

Morning Meeting
So after we got our room cleaned up which we did great at we get ready to sit on the carpet. My clean up music is still playing and I walk over to see Joseph dancing in the middle of the carpet and all of his friends are clapping and cheering him on! It was so cute to see and to witness the amazing little friends I get to work with every day!
