Welcome to the 2015-2016 School Year!

Welcome to my Classroom Blog, I will post descriptions and pictures each day of what we are busy doing in our classroom.

eThis year our school theme is taken from 1 Peter 4:10.  In our classroom this year we will learn how we can help and serve other people.

vI look forward to seeing you all on Monday, August, 10 at 4:00 reminder that this is for parents only childcare is provided from 4:00-4:30 if you still need childcare please contact Cheryl Haun at chaun@zionharvester.org.

I look forward to meeting your children on Monday, August 10 from 4:30-6:30.  This is an opportunity for your child to talk to me and see their classroom.  I will not be in my classroom from 6:30-7:00 my own children attend Zion as well and I will be playing parent at this time so we can go meet their teachers and see their classroom.  I thank you in advance for your understanding in this matter.

Enjoy learning a little bit about me as I look forward to getting to know (and seeing again)you and your child in the coming weeks.

God's Blessings,

I have been teaching at Zion for the last 4 1/2 years.  Before working at Zion I was a a stay at home mom for a 3 years and before I became a stay at home mom.  I was a dance teacher for 17 years teaching ballet, tap and jazz to early childhood children and well as working in the Private Banking Sector.  I love working with children of a young age there is so much to learn and experience with them. They are not jaded by our world and accept everyone for who they are.  I love teaching them about Jesus and how we can make our world a better place with Jesus as a part of it.

I was born and raised in St. Charles and attended St. Charles School District and then went on to the St. Charles Community College, St. Louis Community College and UMSL to get my degree in Early Childhood Education.  I love teaching at Zion and see Zion as my family.  I am so very fortunate to have my children attend Zion.  Aidan will be a 3rd grader, Collin will be a 1st grader and Scarlett will be attending half day preschool.  My husband, Adam  is a Senior Business Manager for the Convergys Corporation and his client is Starbucks.

In my free time I enjoying watching my children play soccer and baseball, spending time with my family, reading and watching television.
